Role Overview 
As a Technical Lead, you’ll shape and deliver high - quality Data & AI solutions, guiding projects end - to - end and acting  as a trusted technical expert for customers and stakeholders. You’ll lead design discussions, make key technical  decisions, and bring str ong Azure and Microsoft Fabric expertise to drive best - practice implementation. 

You’ll work with cross - functional teams to ensure smooth delivery, while also  supporting the development of junior  team members through coaching and knowledge - sharing. As the team grows, there may be opportunities to take on  formal line management responsibilities. 

Role Responsibilities 

• Confidently lead projects, from a technical, team management, and customer facing aspect to ensure high - quality and timely delivery of projects. 

• Actively work on projects adhering to best practices and delivering high - quality, robust solutions. 

• Implementation of Data Governance  and Security best practices. 

• Contribute to, lead and facilitate design workshops with stakeholders, business leaders and prospective  customers, to define technical solutions.

• Awareness of standard data modelling, ETL processes, and analytics. 

• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, and security. 

• Ability to design, implement, and manage solutions on Microsoft Azure, with a strong focus on Microsoft  Fabric or Databricks. 

• Lead cross - functional teams,  including product managers, data scientists, architects, business intelligence  developers and data engineers, to deliver innovative solutions that drive customer value. 

• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and knowledge - sharing within  the team. 

• Understanding and exposure to implementation of AI Agents within Azure. 


Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience 

• Expertise within Microsoft Azure, Fabric or Databricks. 

• Experience with Purview advantageous 

• Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate issues to technical and non - technical people. 

• Able to simply and clearly communicate technical design in conversation, documentation and presentations. 

• Able to confidently make effective decisions within fast - moving delivery. 

• Experience of technical ownership within Data and AI, including solution architecture, estimation, product  planning and user story/requirement creation. 

• Expertise with SQL, Python, C# and DotNet 

• Expertise with Apache Spark using SQL, PySpark, or Scala 

• Proven experience in the Software Development Lifecycle 

• Expertise with the creation of Continuous Integration and Delivery pipelines 

• Used to delivering within an Agile delivery team using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
